JOIN US FOR A PARTY!!!

The PopupHood is celebrating 2 years and we welcome three new shops to the 'hood, Sobu, Flora Cultural Society and Manifesta Salon. This is sure to be a fun evening with food by vendors like the The Grilled Cheez Guy serving grilled cheese sandwiches and video projections in 12 storefront windows curated by Block Gallery.

The festivities start at 5:30pm and run 'til 8pm with Marion and Rose's Workshop, Umami Mart and Crown Nine all be open late. Join us as we pop some bubbly and make a toast. 

 

Occupations: Art Takes Up Space is a site-specific art exhibition, curated by Anuradha Vikram, and includes new media works by Freddy Chandra, Allan de Souza, Desirée Holman, Ranu Mukherjee, Jerome Reyes and José Carlos Teixeira. This is as a free, public installation Illuminating 12 windows along 9th street between Broadway and Washington in Old Oakland Street, each Friday and Saturday night from 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. The exhibition will run for five weekends from December 6th until January 4th, 2014 . Join us for an opening reception on December 6, 2013 at 5:30.
